All hail physical therapists! I broke my leg 7 weeks ago. Freed from bed this week. Went to PT and said “my leg feels like a wet noodle, like it’s barely part of me.” They nodded and had me do a bunch of stuff. After an hour, I was walking. Still on crutches if outside but it’s a lot of progress.

Finished reading: Creation by Katherine Govier 📚excellent novel featuring Audubon in Labrador in 1833. Poetic, evocative and poignant, describing an Earth that no longer exists.
Finished reading: The Perfectionists by Simon Winchester 📚Excellent non-fiction about the history of precision manufacturing. Much more interesting than that might seem!
I broke my tibial plateau in January. I’m still non-weight-bearing after nearly 6 weeks. I’ve begun physical therapy. I expect to be weight-bearing in one more week.
What are some strategies for getting back to full strength and especially being able to run again? I’d love to hear your experience, 🏃♀️
